Ben Elliot,
Co-Founder & Partner

Ben is the co-founder of Hawthorn and co-founder of Quintessentially, the luxury lifestyle group and 24-hour global concierge service, which he started in London in December 2000. As the founder and chairman of the Quintessentially Foundation, it has raised in excess of £13m for charitable causes since 2008. Working with different charities, its mission is to improve the health, education and welfare of disadvantaged people, predominantly in the UK. To date, the Quintessentially Foundation has helped 10,000 school children in Enfield and Croydon through Place2Be, put funding towards a new cancer centre in London through Maggie's and assisted vital projects in Syria through War Child.

In December 2018, Ben was appointed by Michael Gove, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, as the Government’s first Food Surplus and Waste Champion. In July 2019, Ben was appointed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson as the Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party.

Alongside this work, Ben is a trustee of the Victoria & Albert Museum, a Chairman of the Philanthropy Board of the Royal Albert Hall and a trustee of The Eranda Rothschild Foundation, a charitable trust founded by the Rothschild family which makes donations to registered charities working in the fields of medical research, education and the arts. Ben is also a non-executive director of YouGov and the Honorary Treasurer of the Centre for Policy Studies.

Ben was educated at Eton College and graduated with a BSc in Politics from the University of Bristol. He is married with two children and lives in West London. He is passionate about London, cricket and Dorset.
